In 2016, over 498,400 African Americans were living with HIV

HIV and AIDS Diagnoses

48% (8,702) of those diagnosed with AIDS in the United States were African Americans.

In 2014, Hispanics/Latinos accounted for 24% (10,887) of the estimated 44,784 new diagnoses of HIV infection in the United States and 6 dependent areas.

Diabetes Statistics

People with type 2 diabetes attend the program in groups of 12-16. Workshops are facilitated from a highly detailed manual by two trained Leaders, one or both of whom are peer leaders with diabetes themselves.

If you live in NC in Cumberland, Robeson, Harnett or Hoke Counties we provide confidential HIV & Syphilis testing at 2 locations.

SICKLE CELL SERVICES

Routine physical examinations seldom include sickle cell testing, so the vast majority of African Americans, age twelve to forty-four, have never had a test.
